Zaca Mesa Santa Ynez Valley Syrah 2014 750 ml
Smelling of briary spice, black tea and roasted meats with a solid backing of well-ripened fruit always in evidence, Zaca Mesa’s least expensive Syrah does a good job at hitting the right varietal marks, and, even if its flavors are presently cramped by a bit of slightly too-pushy acidity, they exhibit reasonable fruity depth and accurately reiterate the varietal spice of the nose. The wine’s tendency to tartness may be appreciated by those who cannot get enough acid, but, as we see it, two or three years of softening will make for a better wine yet. *Good ValUe*

The 2014 Syrah is a peppery, ripe, enjoyable Syrah that has classic darker berry fruits and hints of earth and meat. Drink this charming, medium-bodied effort over the coming 3-4 years. (8/2017)

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
