Belle Meade Bourbon Single Barrel
Nashville's Belle Meade Bourbon
Belle Meade Single Barrel Bourbon is selected through a tasting process in which a team of our staff members scrutinizes samples from a group of barrels age 9 or more years in search of barrels with a superior flavor profile worthy of being bottled as a Single Barrel. To pass muster the barrel must show the characteristics that are the hallmarks of a superior well-aged Bourbon; balance, depth, and complexity.
We at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery are proud to reintroduce the world to Belle Meade Bourbon, a brand our triple Great Grandfather brought to market more than 100 years ago.
In keeping with the history of the brand, and to assure only the finest quality Bourbon is labeled Belle Meade Bourbon, we painstakingly selected barrels sourced from one of the nation's most notable distilleries. To ensure that no other Bourbon in the world tastes quite like Belle Meade Bourbon, we created a proprietary blend of four barrels per batch using two different mash bills and yeast strains. Each barrel is aged between 6-8 years and is hand-selected to complement the other barrels in the batch to create the signature flavor profile that makes Belle Meade Bourbon the award-winning Bourbon of choice for the discerning whiskey drinker.
Booker’s Bourbon is proud to release Booker's Bluegrass, the inaugural batch in the 2016 limited-edition collection, which pays tribute to two of founding distiller Booker Noe's favorite things - whiskey and music. While he is best known for the creation of his namesake full-bodied whiskey, he is also remembered by friends and family for his love of bluegrass music, both listening and dancing to it. Booker was light on his feet and his larger-than-life personality took over the dance floor in true Booker style. He was even known to join the band from time to time. Booker's Bluegrass celebrates Booker living life to the fullest - whether on the dance floor or in the rack house. It is bottled uncut at its natural proof, yielding a robust whiskey with intense flavor - just as Booker preferred.
Bottled exclusively from a dumping of 200 barrels or less, the brand carries the name of the Rev. Elijah Craig, the man who discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon when he stored his wares in barrels that had been charred in a fire.
A worldwide favorite, especially when creating mixed drinks with a sophisticated, contemporary flair. Hints of pear and apple compliment floral aromas and mix with a taste of honey and spice. Smooth and mellow with a unique, long and soft finish. 80 proof. 40% alcohol/volume.
The Boulevardier cocktail was created in 1927 by Erskine Gwynne, nephew of railroad tycoon Alfred Vanderbilt. Erskine moved to Paris and began The Boulevardier, a monthly literary magazine patterned after The New Yorker. He also frequented the well-known Harry’s New York Bar and was known for his drinking prowess. "Gwynne made his cocktail with one-part Campari, one-part Italian vermouth, and one-part bourbon. Ours is a little more whiskey-forward," High West proprietor David Perkins said. "We mix two parts bourbon, one part Vya sweet vermouth, and one part Gran Classico and then age the cocktail in a whiskey barrel for four months. The barrel aging adds a rich mouth feel and mellows the ingredients. This Boulevardier is a real delight served over ice with a twist of orange or lemon peel.
