At Amador Whiskey Company, we partner with the finest craft distillers to create limited-edition, luxury whiskeys. Our first release was crafted by the Charbayå¨ Distillery Master Distillers Miles and Marko Karakasevic. A blend of 60% straight malt whiskey and 40% hop-flavored whiskey distilled from a craft IPA beer, the components were aged separately for over two years in French oak wine barrels, and then ‰ÛÏmarried in our family chardonnay barrels for another year before being bottled. We only made ten barrels of this superb spirit and we hope you find it as special as we do.
The origin of this whisky’s deep and satisfying flavor stems from a maturation technique pioneered by The Glenlivet, known as Selective Maturation.
A portion of the mature spirit is transferred to virgin oak casks made from French Limousin oak, the same casks that are used for maturing fine French wines and cognacs. This genus of oak adds spiciness, without being overpowering.
Rendezvous Rye is a blend of two exotic straight rye whiskies; one old, and one young. It marries the rich aromatic qualities of a 16-year-old rye with the bold spicy properties of 6-year-old rye to create a full flavored, very complex whiskey. The 6-year-old boasts an uncommonly high 95% rye mash bill. Almost every other straight rye whiskey you can buy today is barely legal, with 51-53% rye in the mash bill. Not Rendezvous Rye. It honors the way rye whiskey used to be made, with a high rye content and full, uncompromised flavor. With Rendezvous Rye, you get a taste of authentic rye whiskey. We hope you enjoy it.
HUDSON NEW YORK CORN WHISKEY is the true American spirit. It is distilled the old fashioned way, one batch at a time from 100% New York corn. No sugar is added. This unaged sipping whiskey is clear and soft to the tongue, with the faint aroma of corn fields at harvest. Corn whiskey is known by a variety of nicknames: White Dog, White Light’ng and moonshine. NEW YORK CORN WHISKEY is traditional American corn. It is bottled at 40% alcohol by volume. It is also the foundation for Tuthilltown’s popular and unique HUDSON BABY BOURBON.
Kiichiro Iwai, the namesake for this Mars Whisky, was a silent pioneer of Japan whisky. This whisky is inspired by great whiskies of America. A majority of corn balanced with light malt aged in ex bourbon barrels. Ideal for daily sipping, in a mint julep or an old fashioned.
Laphroaig 25 Year Old is the perfect marriage of sherried, oaky flavours from the European Oloroso Sherry Casks and the creamy, smooth, sweet flavours from the ex-American Bourbon Barrels. The Oloroso Sherry Casks and ex-American Bourbon Barrels were filled with newly distilled Laphroaig spirit from day one.
Bottled at Cask Strength, it is a perfect fusion of these two most different styles of maturation flavours, made even smoother by the 25 years it has had gently maturing.
The Mikkeller Spirits Black series is the sine qua non of Mikkeller Spirits. Here the connection between Mikkeller and Mikkeller Spirits is established. With our skilled collaborators of Braunstein Distillery we decided to distill one of our flagship beers: the Mikkeller Black. This 17,5% ABV imperial stout showed great potential for distilling. It was easy to decide that this was it; this is why we want to enter the micro distilling world. A great beer turned into a great spirit.
Using a copper still we distill one small batch at a time. We select a small special cask for each batch to age on. These batches are exclusive and very limited editions. The selected casks give the different batches uniqueness in taste, aroma and color. They are all bottled without chill or charcoal for the perfect flavor.
The Black Series is the core idea of the Mikkeller Spirits brand; it is a permanent but ever changing concept.
The new-make spirit is a very fruity clean spirit, where the hoppiness and the crisp taste of dark malts are what meets your mouth, but it is still a rough spirit – therefore we decided to barrel age it!
The barrels used add vanilla and toffee notes common in bourbon. The gentle aging in the barrels allows the original character of the Black spirit to shine through. The barrels add flavor without overpowering the aromas and taste of the tough but balanced Black.
