The Macallan Litha Single Malt Whisky 700ml
The complex flavor of the Macallan Litha is derived from the use of 100% first fill sherry seasoned oak casks derived from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Matured predominantly in American sherry seasoned oak asks, the Macallan maintains complete transparency and ownership over the sourcing of our wood and crafting of our casks which are responsible in delivering up to 80% of flavor and 100% of natural color.
A representation of two worlds colliding – Scotland and Spain to create an incomparable single malt whisky with a gentle scent of vanilla and butterscotch unites with a spark of citrus over a bright canvas of tropical fruits, reminiscent of a summer’s day and the radiance of the sun’s energy. Litha means “light” and it was the name that Celts gave to the summer solstice. The Macallan Litha represents the coming together of two worlds – Scotland and Spain – to create something incomparable. The journey begins with our exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain and continues to The Macallan Estate, in Scotland, where they are filled with The Macallan fruity new make spirit and the meeting of two world begins.
Litha means “light”, and it was the name that the Celts gave the summer solstice, a powerful instant when two forces meet for the first time changing everything, making days longer, bringing new light, and new life; celebrated since antiquity.
Illustrated by Sija Hong – a Chinese award-winning illustrator based in the USA – the packaging artwork represents the coming together of two worlds – Scotland and Spain. Scotland is depicted in the right-hand side in the blue pantones, while Spain is represented on the left-hand side in the red pantones. The tree is a central element representing the coming together of these two worlds through maturation in first fill sherry seasoned oak casks – a pure moment of creation resulting in The Macallan Litha.
Your order is insured, however you must contact us directly with any issues first, DO NOT CONTACT THE SHIPPING CARRIER AS THEY WLL NOT BE ABLE TO PROCESS ANY CLAIMS ON YOUR BEHALF. ALL CLAIMS HAVE TO BE INITIATED BY US. We will resolve any issues to your fullest satisfaction.

* SHIPPING WINE IN COLD or WARM WEATHER
Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
