The Glenallachie 2015 Single Cask is a 10-year-old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at natural cask strength 60.4% ABV, representing one of only 359 bottles from Mizunara hogshead cask #1951. This exceptional expression showcases the distinctive influence of rare Japanese oak, creating a symphony of butterscotch, cherries, and exotic spice notes that define this limited collector's release.
Under the stewardship of The Glenallachie Distillers Co. Limited, this Speyside distillery has embraced both tradition and innovation since its founding. The selection of Mizunara oak—Japan's revered whisky-aging wood—demonstrates the distillery's commitment to exploring exceptional maturation techniques. Selected specifically for the USA's 250th Anniversary by Impex Beverages, this single cask represents the pinnacle of artisanal Scottish whisky craftsmanship, bottled without color addition or chill filtration to preserve its authentic character.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Butterscotch, maraschino cherries, manuka honey, dark chocolate, baked orchard fruits, toasted oak spice
- Palate: Sandalwood spice, rich mocha, maraschino cherries, cinnamon butter, crystallised ginger, luxurious toffee sauce
- Finish: Long and warming, with lingering Mizunara oak influence, honeyed sweetness, and gentle exotic spice

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
