This wine is a powerful yet refined expression of one of Sonoma’s most celebrated and historic vineyard sites. Planted in the early 1970s on the volcanic, rocky slopes of Sonoma Mountain, Pickberry has earned a reputation for producing award-winning wines of remarkable depth, structure, and longevity. This Cabernet opens with classic mountain-grown aromatics of cassis, blackberry, and graphite, lifted by hints of dried sage, violet, and cedar. The palate is bold and layered, revealing concentrated flavors of blackcurrant, plum, cocoa, and tobacco leaf, underpinned by firm, finely-grained tannins and balanced acidity. Aged in French oak, it gains polish and complexity, with subtle notes of spice and espresso adding to its depth. Long and persistent on the finish, the wine reflects both the rugged character of its volcanic soils and the elegance that defines Pickberry fruit. Built to age gracefully for decades, yet already captivating in its youth, this Cabernet pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, or rich mushroom dishes, standing as a true testament to the enduring legacy of Pickberry Vineyard. This wine is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc.

* SHIPPING WINE IN COLD or WARM WEATHER
Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
