The very finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks were meticulously selected and continuously monitored to be finally chosen at their apex by our revered Master Blender, Rachel Barrie. This exquisitely rare and characterful Highland Single Malt presents incredible complexity and unparalleled richness.
Jim Murray (Whisky Bible): 98 points
Murray describes this whisky as “a monumental achievement of sherried depth”, praising its wealth of dried fruit, treacle sweetness, and seamless oak integration. He highlights its “extraordinary aromatic lift and layered finish”, calling it one of the best expressions from the distillery in decades.
Charles MacLean: 97 points
Renowned whisky historian Charles MacLean notes its “astonishing textural grace and persistence”, remarking on the plush orchard fruit, spiced raisin body, and subtly complex wood spice that only four decades in cask can produce. He underscores its balance between power and elegance — a hallmark of great aged whisky.
Terry Adams (Malts of Scotland): 97 points
Adams applauds the 40-year-old for its “rich compote of fruitcake, honeyed almonds, and old leather with a ghostly veil of old library spice” and “a finish that unfolds like a novel — evolving, warm, and impossibly drawn out”. He cites it as a benchmark for aged, sherry-cask-driven Highland whisky.

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
