Casa Dragones Reposado Mizunara Casks Tequila 750 ML
Casa Dragones Mizunara, 100% Blue Agave Reposado sipping tequila, is the first tequila rested exclusively in Mizunara, a rare oak native to Japan and traditionally used for aging Japanese whiskies. This delicately rested tequila perfectly balances the minerality of our agave with the light notes of Japanese oak, for a refined, elegant sweetness that defies the ordinary.
At Casa Dragones, innovation is what we like to do best, crafting uniquely smooth sipping tequilas to surprise and enamor the tequila lover, all while using the most sustainable processes in the industry. Continuing our exploration of woods and agave, we imported our first Mizunara casks to Tequila, Jalisco in 2018 and have worked since then to craft a beautifully refined, uniquely smooth-tasting Reposado tequila.
Working with Japan’s only independent cooperage, we crafted new casks of 100% Mizunara with a custom char in which to rest our tequila. Scarcer than European and American Oak, Japanese Oak typically yields only half as much timber as other oaks. Characterized by their twisting trunks and branches, these ancient trees can grow up to 200 years before they are harvested and then handcrafted into the highest quality casks in Japan.
Literally translated to “water oak,” Mizunara is softer and more porous than most oaks, allowing our tequila to pull more from its depths, and creating a marriage of agave and wood notes that are truly unique to Casa Dragones Reposado. The result is an elegantly
sweet, smooth Reposado, with hints of orange blossom, butterscotch, and coffee bean.

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
