Tasting note
Light yellow color with immediate citrus, green apple and something of minerals on the nose. The taste is soft, somewhat plump, but also with fine acidity and something of honey and apricots.
The Chainier family has been involved in viticulture since the 18th century. They started this in Bordeaux. Following the example of the French kings, the family also moved to the Loire Valley and Domaine Chainier has been a reality since 1973. Today the family owns several Domaines & Châteaux along the Loire with a total of 250 hectares. to vineyards. Today it is one of the most progressive wine companies in the Loire.
In the Vouvray wine region, the Chenin grape variety is all that matters. The local name of this grape variety is 'pineau de Loire'. Clos du Gaimont only has one enormous vineyard, but it is 4 hectares. big. The average age of the sticks is around 35 years.

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
