Focused, dusty and delightful, the 2019 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard offers that classic, mineral Red Mountain grip with hints of graphite and pencil shavings on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, the palate explodes with plenty of complexity and flavors of dark plum and black raspberry, making way for firm gripping tannins. It ends with a long, dusty, mineral finish that will allow this gorgeous wine to age gracefully for years to come.

The 2019 Red Wine Ciel du Cheval is wickedly spicy, showing its Cabernet Franc component up front with a burst of white pepper and dried roses that gives way crushed to raspberries. This sweeps across the palate—silky and refined yet energetic, with juicy acidity and savory herbal tones that amass toward the close. It finishes long and remarkably fresh, literally leaving the mouth watering for more as gently grippy Red Mountain tannins slowly fade. This is a blend of 57% Merlot and 43% Cabernet Franc, refined in 25% new French oak for 21 months.

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
