Tasting Notes
The 2017 Russian River Pinot Noir is complex, multilayered and sure to be a crowd pleasure. It showcases classic Russian River Valley depth, texture and lushness, while also being taunt, elegant and almost weightless on the mid-palate. The wine glides across the palate leaving bursts of fruit, spice, earth and oak that echo into a sustained finish. Most tasting notes were taken after the bottle had been open for about 16 hours and the wine is still developing. Give the 2017s a hearty decant or open the night before enjoying. This wine is a wonderful sipper but during tasting my mind immediately goes to grilled meats cooked on open fire, ideally on the gamey side like leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic; or pork belly with black soy.

Please be aware that extreme cold or heat can cause damage to wine. If temperatures in your area are below freezing or above 80 degrees for a sustained period of time, please advise us to hold your wine until the weather is milder, or to upgrade to an expedited shipping method.
Your wines will be shipped by us in perfect condition and any damage incurred due to weather is not covered by the shipping company insurance, or guaranteed by us. We will gladly store your wine in our temperature-controlled cellar until the weather is more suitable for shipping.
Due to the increasing difficulty of shipping wine & spirits, shipments may take longer than expected, and expedited shipping methods are not available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
